Passion is What Motivates Us – Traditional Products by Local Craftsmen Soon at Lidl
In an attempt to help the development of Serbian entrepreneurship, Lidl explored the country and picked over 50 small companies which produce using traditional methods and then included their products in its offer for a limited amount of time under the slogan “Small Craft, Big Passion”. From Thursday, November 19, each week will be dedicated to one region in Serbia and its producers – the first week belongs to Vojvodina, the second one is dedicated to Central Serbia, followed by Western Serbia, and the final week belongs to Eastern and Southern Serbia.
These hard working small producers from various parts of Serbia will have an opportunity to present their products, the fruits of big passion and old crafts, to consumers in 30 towns throughout Serbia and increase their visibility that way. The producers that have been picked to be Lidl's partners on this project are small family farms with a long tradition, and Lidl has recognized their contribution and hereby provided active support to those who are passionately dedicated to their craft. The aim of the cooperation arrangements between these small suppliers and the first modern discount store chain in Serbia is reflected in the contribution to the continuity of the operations of small producers, which can thereby increase their presence in the market outside their regions and fortify their business operations, and if an opportunity arises, also open new doors to the expansion of family crafts. On the filled-out shelves at Lidl stores, the local suppliers will prove how important it is to preserve the tradition and show that, when you do what you love, with diligence and persistence, success is guaranteed.
In the first week, from November 19, Lidl takes you to Vojvodina, a region which combines various culture, making for a rich gastronomic heritage. One of the producers from this region comes from Ruma, where the expertise in the production of extraordinary meat delicacies has been passed from generation to generation – the Mesoprodukt company. This company is proud of its offer, and Lidl has recognized that compromise is not an option when it comes to product quality in this field.
– We are very happy that we have been picked by Lidl, primarily because they've contacted us without our initiative. We are aware that small crafts require a big passion, because, without passion, there's no success or progress. All this, combined with the tradition, must produce good results – say Zika and Dragana Mihajlovic, owners of Mesoprodukt.
As part of the “Small Craft, Big Passion” offer, Lidl consumers will be able to make sure of the quality of the cheeses, meat products, jams and many other homemade products produced with lots of passion and love. Visit the Lidl stores, find the “Small Craft, Big Passion” sticker on products from various regions of Serbia and witness the dedication and the quality! More information at www.lidl.rs.
