Number of Employed People Higher in Q3 Compared to Last Year
Observed by the modalities of employment, there were 2,092,398 employed in “long-term employment”, in “temporary and occasional employment” there were 66,906 persons, while the number of registered individual agricultural producers was 65,538.
Employment was primarily increased in the category of “long-term employment”, where growth of 2.8% (57,857 persons) was recorded, relative to the same quarter of the previous year.
Observed by territory, increased employment prevailed in Belgrade and Vojvodina. The sections of activity with the largest increase in the number of the employed are Manufacturing, Construction, Wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, Information and communication, and Transportation and storage.
