PEPCO, the largest retail chain offering non-food products with the largest growth rate in Europe, is now available in Serbia. Since Friday, October 23, citizens of Belgrade can shop at two PEPCO stores. In the next couple of months, more stores will open for shoppers in other cities. The chain plans to open 30 stores within its first year of operations in Serbia.

PEPCO has over 2,000 stores in Europe, offering various groups of products, including clothing for men, women and children, underwear, fashion accessories, toys, decorative items, textile, home products etc. The clothing (including shoes and underwear) comprises around 60% of the store chain's offer, whereas home products make up 40%. PEPCO has prepared an offer aiming to make it attractive to consumers at affordable prices. For example, buyers at PEPCO stores can find 100%-organic cotton baby overalls for RSD 300. Disney's clothes for boys and girls made of 100% cotton and home and kitchen accessories can be found at under RSD 120. In addition to the standard offer, the chain also has seasonal offers, which include going back to school, the Christmas season or summer vacations.

The first PEPCO stores opened in Belgrade in two locations: in the Stadion Shopping Center and the BIG RAKOVICA Park. Among the company's representatives that took part in the opening ceremony was Tomislav Bekavac, PEPCO's Operations Manager for the Adriatic Region.

– We are very happy that Serbia has joined the list of companies in which PEPCO operates. Our consumers in Serbia will now have an opportunity to visit our stores and enjoy the wide range of products at very low prices. We are convinced that our new consumers will be satisfied with the products we offer – said Marcin Stanco, Operations Director for CEE at PEPCO.

Serbia is the thirteenth country where PEPCO has offered its products. The chain's stores already exist in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania and Italy, where the first stores opened in September.

The preparations for the opening of the first stores in Serbia progressed intensively from the moment PEPCO announced its plans to start operating in the Serbian market. In the next few months, the preparations will continue at the same intensity. This chain plans to open another 30 stores and to create up to 200 jobs in the first year of the operations in the market of Serbia.

– To our customers, we will offer not just a wide range of products, but also comfortable shopping locations. Our stores will be located in popular shopping centers or the central part of the city, where, together with food store chains, our stores will make for an all-encompassing offer, which will fully meet the everyday needs of our consumers. This sales model functions well in every country in which PEPCO operates – Bekavac says.
