Linglong Tire to Complete First Phase of Construction of Factory in Zrenjanin on 100 ha by the End of November – Nearly USD 1 Billion Invested in Tire Production Complex
The investor, Linglong International Europe Zrenjanin, chose Chinese companies China Energy Engineering Group (CEEC) and China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) as the contractors, and they hired numerous subcontractors from Serbia, Zrenjanin included, whereas the Belgrade-based company Masinoprojekt Kopring was hired as the designer.
The first phase entails the raising of three entrance gates, two substations and a network of local electrical installations, while at the same time, within the second phase, a four-floor administrative-office and R&D building, an employee recreation center and a restaurant, a reservoir and pumping stations for the hydrant network, as well as 608 parking spaces, are to be built.
The works are to be done by November 30, 2020 (first phase), and September 1, 2021 (second phase).
According to earlier announcements, the factory will employ 1,200 workers.
