Government Adopts Decree on Aid to Companies Affected by the Epidemic
– Given the economic uncertainty caused by the infectious disease pandemic, the state must have appropriate mechanisms for timely action in order to preserve economic stability and maintain economic activities – says the press release from the government's session.
This decree regulates in more detail the conditions and criteria for assessing the coordination of state aid granted through the recapitalization of market participants, who are facing financial difficulties due to the epidemic.
The measure is primarily intended to raise the liquidity of market participants through recapitalization, as one of the instruments of state aid.
The government also adopted and amended the Decree on Measures for Prevention and Suppression of Infectious Disease COVID-19, which prescribes an obligation for entrepreneurs who perform activities in the field of retail trade, in shopping centers and similar facilities, to place a notice of mandatory use of personal protective masks.
Trade facilities will hire a person who will be responsible for checking the compliance of customers with the measure of wearing personal protective masks.
As part of the campaign to raise the awareness of citizens and the economy about the importance of combating the gray economy, the Serbian government provided EUR 180 thousand in dinar counter value for the most successful nine cities, city municipalities and municipalities, within the prize game "Take the bill and win 2020".
This prize fund will be awarded in 2021 to the best-ranked cities and municipalities, through the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government.
