After the development of traffic routes, the water network, the lighting, the sanitary sewer system and a part of the stormwater sewer system, the City of Leskovac has continued developing the industrial Green Zone and, by setting aside RSD 13.5 million, started the construction of another part of the stormwater sewer system of 220 meters. These and the previously carried out works will cover all parcels and fully solve the problem of stormwater drainage in the Green Zone.

The mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanovic, visited the works with his associates and said that the investment was very important, because a total of 3,700 workers employed at the British company Aptiv passed through the Green Zone daily.

– As a local self-government, we have done everything in our power to meet the requirements and conditions for the opening of this factory, in which the investor has put over EUR 25 million – the mayor said and added that, by the end of the year, Aptiv would employ another 500 workers and have 4,200 in total.

The works are to be carried out by AB KOP and Zadruga Pionir from Vlasotince. The works are planned to be completed in 2.5 months.
