In the first seven months, despite Covid-19, foreign investments worth EUR 1.613 billion arrived to Serbia, according to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

He pointed out that it was more than 60% of the total foreign investments in the whole Western Balkans. Of that amount, the majority, that is, 67.4%, came from EU states, mostly form Germany, Vucic added.

He also said that, despite the difficult situation, he had some good news regarding the economy – according to the initial flash estimates, Serbia realized a growth of 0.1% in the third quarter. He pointed out that, in the same period, Macedonia had a negative growth of 12.7%.

– There's no doubt that we will be among the first two countries, if not the first in Europe, when it comes to growth – Vucic is convinced.
