Old Sava Bridge to be Disassembled from 2021 – Temporarily to be Moved to Palilula
– The disassembly is likely to begin next year, whereas a new bridge in its place is to be built simultaneously. The old bridge will be split into three parts and transported by boat to its temporary location, so that it could be reused later on – Stojcic told Blic.
Stojcic said that the New Sava Bridge would have two lanes in each direction, with a tram section in the middle and cycling lanes.
– It will be a new bridge, the construction of which should start next year, we're not sure when exactly, because coronavirus has slowed everything down considerably – Stojcic said and added that the construction was expected to be finished in 2022.
