Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that he had talked with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the construction of an industrial zone in Vojvodina.

– We talked about an industrial zone that the Turkish company should build in Vojvodina. That would solve every unemployment issue – Vucic said on Friday, September 25, in Istanbul and added that it would also solve the issue of salaries, pensions and the total GDP.

According to him, it would mean that a large number of Turkish companies would be brought over to work, produce and have their seats there.

– It would be an enormous incentive for the growth of our economy – he said.

He said that there was almost no more room for industrial zones in Serbia and announced that the issue would be in focus in the next period, so that Serbia would reindustrialize and attract investors from Turkey, Germany and other countries.

Vucic said that they had also talked about infrastructural projects and that representatives of the companies which are preparing the project documentation for the Karadjordje highway had been present as well.

– We also talked about the Novi Pazar-Tutin road, which is important for the people who live there – he said and added that it should be completed in a year and a half.
