Registered Domain Names in Serbia Rise by 10%

Changes in the way we work, behave and shifting many activities online caused by the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in the growth of the global but also local domain market, the research of the Serbian National t Domain Registry (RNIDS) showed.

The first six month of 2020 in Serbia recorder a 10.02% rise in new domain name compared to last year's results, which is, at the same time, the biggest growth relative to same periods in the last three years, RNIDS stated.

The statistical data also showed that hat for the said half-year period there was no need for any protection measures for registrants that some registers activated, because the percentage of the deleted domain remained average for the past three years.


The claim is also corroborated by the fact that looking at the data from past three years. percentage of the renewed domain names compared to all received renewal requests was average as well.

Based on the data mentioned, RNIDS concluded that the demand for domain names in Serbia grew despite the state of emergency and coronavirus pandemic.
