The construction of facilities for the channeling and treatment of waste waters in Belgrade is a capital project, and the works are to begin in the autumn of 2021, as said at a session of the Task Force for the monitoring of the activities toward the realization of this project.

– Together with this project, we will invest more than EUR 3.3 billion in water factories, sewer systems and water treatment systems – added the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic.

She pointed to the importance of the construction of a waste water treatment system in Belgrade, because “it is a question of environmental protection and a better quality of life for the citizens”, as announced on the ministry's website.

Geodetic and geotechnical works are in progress, as is the preparation of a preliminary design and the necessary studies and analyses.

The meeting was attended by Li Xueqiang, the director of the Serbian office of the Chinese company CMEC, which is to carry out the works.
