At the very end of the summer, from Friday, August 28, to Sunday, September 6, the second Good Food & Wine Festival will be held in Belgrade. The event, held this year under the slogan “Taste Love by the River”, will gather several hundred participants, producers of food and wine, hospitality managers, tourism workers and a large number of visitors, fans of traditional products from Serbia and the region.

The main event within the Good & Wine festival is the traditional food and wine fair, where over 50 exhibitors from Serbia and region will showcase their offer at the Sava Promenade (the plaza behind the Geozavod building) on Saturday, September 5, the press release says.

On that day, the visitors will be able to taste wines, local brandies (rakijas), organic juices, prosciutto, cheeses and other delicacies. Fans of wine and good food will be able to buy products at discount prices, while enjoying the music and other stage features which will be available throughout the day. Entrance is free, and all visitors will have an opportunity to get one of the gifts offered by the exhibitors and take part in game shows prepared by the organizers.

In line with the symbolism of bread in the Serbian tradition, the fair will feature a bread exhibit which will gather the best bakers, who will show their skills of making tasty products from dough.

On the main stage, at presentations and workshops, those interested will be able to learn interesting things about Serbian gastronomy and the increasingly popular wine industry in these areas. On that festival day, in front of the audience, awards will be handed out to the best producers from Serbia and the region, selected by journalists, friends of the festival.

During the festival week, the partners of the festival, Belgrade's hospitality managers, will create a special festival menu and provide a special experience for the visitors, along with festival discounts, wine tasting sessions and providing an opportunity to get to know the flavors coming from their kitchens. They will also prepare the Sunday Brunch on September 6, which also includes hanging out with the chefs.
