The Secretariat for Public Transport of the City of Belgrade should soon open a public procurement procedure for the selection of a partner for the collection of public transport fare and vehicle management, as the contract with the Apex company, that is, Busplus, expires on September 20.

According to the current contract, Apex gets 8.53% of the fare revenues, whereas the city is now most likely to look for a partner that would settle for 7.92%. It's impossible to tell at the moment whether Apex will accept the lower percentage or if another partner will appear.

When asked whether they will take part in the new tendering procedure, they say that the decision will be made by the majority founder of the company – the Turkish company KentKart. They also say that the decision on whether to accept the percentage of 7.92% will depend on the terms of the tender.

The average monthly income from the sale of tickets in 2019 amounted to RSD 621 million, which means that Apex, at the percentage of 8.52%, had a monthly income of around RSD 50 million.
