Delta Holding Still Interested in Purchasing Sava Centar

Delta Holding is still interested in purchasing Sava Centar, the company confirmed for eKapija. They say that they are waiting for all the necessary information and details of the tendering procedure.

Although the tender has not yet opened, the deputy mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesic, recently announced that the initial price for Sava Centar would be EUR 27.4 million and that the new owner would have to oblige to invest at least EUR 50 million in reconstruction over a five-year period.

The future owner will not be allowed to change the purpose of Sava Centar, as the facility is subject to the procedure of being declared a cultural good.

Let us remind that the sale of Sava Centar was announced in November 2019.

The city first started looking for a partner for Sava Centar in 2016 by opening a public invitation for the founding of a joint company.

The next public invitation opened in late 2017. The potential partner was expected to renovate the congress infrastructure of the center, as well as its general infrastructure.

In mid-2018, the City of Belgrade and Delta started direct negotiations, which were unsuccessful, shortly after which it was announced that a concessionaire would be sought for Sava Centar.
