Turkish Airlines to Resume Flights from Russia to Turkey

Flights at the Platov International Airport in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, will resume today, after a break caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the airport's spokesperson announced.

– On August 3, Turkish Airlines will fly from the Platov International Airport to Istanbul. The takeoff is planned for 3.30 Moscow Time – the spokesperson told TASS.

Turkish Airlines will have five flights a week on the Istanbul – Rostov-on-Don route.

On August 10, the regular flights from the airport in Rostov-on-Don to the Turkish summer resorts of Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman will also be resumed.


Russia started gradually resuming the international air traffic on August 1, in line with the new measures against coronavirus.

For now, international flights are only carried out from the airports in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don, TASS reports.
