Blockchain Technologies and Opportunity for Cooperation of Serbia, UAE and India
The gathering, which will involve a large number of representatives of companies and experts from Serbia, UAE and India, will be organized with the support of the CCIS and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, announced Marko Selakovic, the head of the CCIS Office in the UAE.
– It is a great acknowledgment for partners from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry to recognize Serbia's intention to position itself as a leader in the development of the blockchain technology in the region and Europe. The UAE is one of the most innovative economies in the world, with a remarkably wide range of implementation of blockchain technologies in various spheres of life and business. With the inclusion of India, as one of the global leaders in the domain of the IT industry, this virtual summit will open an opportunity for the establishment of business connections between companies from Serbia, UAE and India – Selakovic said.
He points out that, in the new business reality, creating possibilities for the development of innovative solutions and improvement of business operations is a priority for the CCIS Office in the UAE.
Blockchain is one of the youngest branches of the IT industry, and most associate it with the trade of cryptocurrencies primarily, the CCIS says.
However, as they explain, at the moment, blockchain is applicable anywhere where any sort of transaction is carried out, and it is also a tool for the following of goods.
Today, there are over 20 companies which specialize in the development of blockchain in Serbia, whereas a growing number of companies include blockchain in their offer to the clients, explains Marjan Stojanovic, the secretary of the Association for Electronic Communication and Information Society at the CCIS.
– The Government of Serbia has recognized blockchain as the fastest growing branch of the IT sector in Serbia and a new regulation will enable an additional incentive to investments in blockchain companies, which will contribute to their development and competitiveness in the world market – Stojanovic estimated.
He reminds that the Blockchain Section has been formed within his Association, to the end of developing activities toward the improvement of the application of this technology in various fields in Serbia.
The Blockchain Section of the CCIS is actively involved in the activities of the Task Force of the Government of Serbia which is in charge of the preparation of a draft crypto-property regulatory framework in the Republic of Serbia, the press release says.
