Johnson Electric, a producer of electric components in the automotive industry, is planning to reconstruct and extend its factory in Nis.

According to the urban plan, whose public presentation has just ended, the factory is to be expanded, the exterior is to be developed and small side facilities are to be built, in three phases.

In the first phase, a new compressor station and a chemicals storage facility will be built, whereas the second and the third phase entail the construction of a production facility, which will be based on a technology similar to the one used in the factory's existing facilities.

The construction of an industrial waste depot, internal roads with a flat area with infrastructure and office blocks is also planned.

The investor is Johnson Electric Nis, and the project developer is the PE Zavod za urbanizam (Urban Planning Institute) Nis.
