Tender for Repair and Construction of Terminal for Bulk and General Cargo of Port of Smederevo – Bids to be Sent by October 20
The project is financed from the proceeds of the loan of the European Investment Bank (EIB), whereby 50% of the value of the project is provided, whereas the other half will be financed from Serbia's budget.
The works entail the repair of the existing port and terminal of around 3.8 ha and 170 m respectively and the construction of a new part of the port terminal for bulk and general cargo of around 21 ha and a wharf around 670 long.
Also, the works include the infrastructure of the access road and the port and utility services, that is, internal roads and railways, waterworks and power supply.
– The existing port facilities must start operating during the works. The contract is subject to FIDIC requirements for construction and engineering works defined by the employer – the documentation says.
Bidders must provide a guarantee of EUR 1,100,000 in order to take part in the procedure.
Bids may be sent by October 20, 2020, at 3.30 pm local time. The public opening of the bids will take place on October 22, at 10 am, at the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.
