E-commerce in Serbia Doubles During Coronavirus Pandemic
The sale of disinfectants and virus-protection products increased eight times, digital agency Namics announced. The further development of e-trade is expected, as coronavirus has started changing consumers' habits.
Namics' e-commerce experts explain that the situation reflects the global trends and add that, according to the statistics of the Ecommerce News Europe website, online purchase in Europe has grown by 57%.
– Coronavirus has undoubtedly changed consumers' habits and many customers used e-commerce services for the first times, whereas others simply reinforced the habit. It is therefore assumed that e-commerce is on the rise. For example, research by our partner, the Salesforce platform, shows that 36% consumers are not planning to go back to traditional stores until a coronavirus vaccine is available – says Philipp Gort of Namics.
