Due to higher amortization expenses following the introduction of new accounting standards Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade recorded a business loss of RSD 120.7 million compared to last year's gain of RSD 48.9 million, the broker-dealer company Momentum Securities reported.

Company's net loss was RSD 105.4 million whereas the gain for the same period last year was RSD 31.5 million.

The airport had an operating income of RSD 148.5 million in the first quarter, an increase of 11.5% compared to the same period of last year.

Periodic concession fee of RSD 132.8 million, slightly higher compared to the previous year, was the biggest item in the airport's operating revenue, the brokers at Momentum said.

The French concession company VINCI Airports took over the concession of the Belgrade Airport after signing a 25-year concession agreement with the Serbian Government in March, 2018.
