Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo have visited the industrial zone in Nis where the Chinese company Xingyu Automotive Lighting Systems is building a facility which will cost EUR 60 million.

Brnabic pointed out that this car lighting factory would be completed in February 2021.

In the first phase, the company will employ around 1,000 people. They will mostly export to Germany, France and Slovakia.

Brnabic estimated that Xingyu Automotive Lighting Systems was one of the largest and most successful companies of its kind in the world and that it would contribute to the development of “our economy, gross domestic product” and the situation in Nis.

Bo said that she was “pleasantly surprised with the quick progress of the project.”

– The works did not stop for one day even during the epidemic. This shows what a good business environment Nis and Serbia are – said Bo, who expects more and more Chinese companies to become interested in investing in Nis and Serbia.
