Epidemiology Conditions Met for Montenegro to Open Border for Serbian Citizens
With the reduction of the number of the infected to below 25 to each 100,000, the conditions have met for Montenegro to open its border to citizens of Serbia, as reported by the Radio-Television of Montenegro, among others.
The number of the newly infected from May was around 70.3 on average, and in the past seven days it has been 50. The number of the newly infected in the past 14 days was slightly over 650. So far, Serbia has tested a total of 269,185 citizens, that is, 38,676 to each million.
Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, a total of 11,741 people have been infected in Serbia, with 248 recorded deaths.
Let us remind that the Institute for Public Health of Montenegro expanded the list of states whose citizens may enter and stay in Montenegro, but it once again did not feature Serbia.
The list expanded to include Cyprus, Ireland and Malta. When it comes to the countries of the region, the list still doesn't feature Serbia and North Macedonia.
