The new Kosovo government of the prime minister Avdullah Hoti has revoked the decisions by which the “reciprocity measure” toward central Serbia was implemented.

At a session held on June 6, the Pristina authorities revoked the previous decision of the government of Albin Kurti of March 20, 2020, on a gradual implementation of reciprocity measures with Belgrade and the decision of May 30, 2020, which amended the previous one.

The representatives of the Alliance of the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj's party, in the government voted against this decision, RTS reports. This was one of the four items on the agenda of the meeting.

Let us remind that the Pristina authorities adopted a range of measures on May 30 which entailed the ban on import of products form Serbia not displaying the name of “Republic of Kosovo” on the goods and the accompanying documents.

According to this decision, companies from Serbia would have to provide an entry permit for any vehicle carrying goods to Kosovo, and the request would have to be filed to the Pristina Communication Office in Serbia.
