Gorenje Home Successfully Completes Negotiations with Emotion – Production in Zajecar to Begin in June

Gorenje Home has successfully completed the negotiations with the German company Emotion, a long-standing purchaser of the Zajecar-based factory's sanitary devices, which is to start its own production at the factory's facilities this June.

Based on the signed agreement, Emotion will rent around 7,000 m2 of space in Zajecar and continue to produce the sanitary devices which were part of the factory's portfolio in the previous period as well. A total of 80 workers will be employed at the facilities of the newly founded company Emotion Home Srbija.

– To us, it is very important that we have completed the negotiations about the renting of a part of the capacities successfully and on time, so there will practically be no halts in the production, Emotion is a client with which we have been cooperating successfully for years and we are sure that they will find quality workers here. Gorenje Home continues to actively seek a solution for the deployment of the rest of the location of around 10,000 m2 – Gorenje Home announced.

The management of Gorenje announced earlier this month that the production would stop at the Zajecar factory, which had been operating with considerable losses for a long time despite the investment of over EUR 10 million over a period of nine years, the press release says.

Emotion is a German company whose headquarters and production activities are located in Bremen. Their portfolio consists of furniture and equipment for bathrooms, which the company sells throughout Europe – from Germany, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg to the countries of the Mediterranean.
