The interest in credits from this program is extremely high and the bank has so far received requests for financing in the amount of EUR 40 million. Most requests come from clients from the fields of commerce, manufacturing industry and civil engineering, and most of the demand comes from the segment of small and medium enterprises.
– In the past period, we have all faced extremely difficult challenges and worked under great uncertainty, struggling day after day to preserve the citizens' health. Now it's time to work on helping the economy stand back on its feet as soon as possible and it is important for each of us to take responsibility in realizing this important task. The fight for the survival of the economy is also the fight for the quality of life of all citizens, and we in the financial sector can and must play a great role in it. That is why I am proud that, at NLB Bank, we managed to prepare for the realization of credits for supporting the economy, primarily the sectors most affected by the COVID-19 epidemic – small and medium business. We have also prepared for the payment of a one-off aid to the citizens of Serbia, and for young people who have not yet worked with banks, we have prepared a free package, including products and services they can find useful in their everyday life – said Vlastimir Vukovic, a member of the Executive Board of NLB Bank.
He pointed out that health risks were still present and that, accordingly, in doing business with the bank, it was important to keep in mind that the health protection measures, implemented during the state of emergency, were still in effect.
