Inspection Contact Center Available to Citizens and Economy of Serbia
As TV N1 reported, during the six weeks of the operations of the Contact Center there were several dozen reports each day at 011 6350 322 or www.inspektor.gov.rs.
– In this period, there were more than 70 different reports a day, and nearly a half have been forwarded to the competent inspection services – said the head of the Unit for Support to the Coordination Commission for Inspection Supervision of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Dragan Pusara.
As he explained, operators and analysts process these reports and forward them to the relevant inspection service.
– Another step up is that those who file the reports can stay anonymous, but if they identify themselves, they will be informed of the result of the report and notified electronically until the inspection supervision is over – Pusara said.
As he added, at the Contact Center, they try to provide citizens with clear information about the competences of these inspection services.
– When we receive a report, we forward it to the suitable instance of the local inspection, depending on the town or municipality, and we refer the sender to the competence of that town or municipality – Pusara said.
The cooperation with the economy works the same way, they explain.
The state secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Zoran Kasalovic, said that, after the declaration of the coronavirus pandemic, which required increased efficiency, the Contact Center started working before it was planned.
– It is important because the citizens and the economy can now react quickly, report irregularities or unfair competition without losing time or knowing the competences of various inspections, whereas the Contact Center can act fast by forwarding the reports to the competent inspection services – Kasalovic pointed out.
The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government reminds that the reform of the inspection services is part of the total reform of the public administration, supported in Serbia by the European Union.
It has been specified that the EU has also financially supported the modernization of inspection supervision, and especially the preparation and publishing of control lists of all state inspection services, with EUR 3 million, through the mechanism of sector budget support.
