Where Does Post-Covid Waste End Up? – Incinerator Laboratory to Open in Zrenjanin
Only two towns in Serbia, Cacak and Milanovac, have so far enabled citizens to dispose of infectious post-covid waste at a single place.
Sinisa Mitrovic of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia said that the crisis was a good opportunity for us to change our habits completely, to change the flows of waste and admit to ourselves that we have no infrastructure for primary selection.
– If we consider climate and health crises in the future, we need to raise the investments, especially when it comes to the incineration of hazardous waste – he said.
