Preparation of Preliminary Design for BG Subway to Start, Building Permit Next Step – Construction by End of 2021, Authorities Announce
– After the agreement is signed today, the French company Egis will start preparing the feasibility study with the preliminary plan and the environmental protection study for the first phase of the subway line, worth EUR 8.3 million. When this job is done, the conditions will meet for the building permit to be issued and for the construction of the Belgrade Subway system to begin. We are doing everything in our power for the construction to start by the end of 2021 – Vesic said on TV Happy, Beoinfo reports.
He added that the City of Belgrade is currently working on the general regulation plan of the rail systems in Belgrade with elements of detailed development for the first phase of the first line of the subway system, for which the early public review has already been completed, as well as on the detailed regulation plan of Makisko Polje, where the construction of the subway is to start.
– The general regulation plan of the rail systems will be adopted in the early autumn, and the Detailed Regulation Plan of Makisko Polje will be adopted by the end of the year. They are the basis for the issuing of the building permits for the construction of the subway – Vesic said.
As he pointed out, this year, the City of Belgrade has already prepared the geological bases for the purposes of the general regulation plan of the rail systems in Belgrade with elements of development for the first phase of the subway line, the consultant for technical and advisory help in preparing the project-technical documentation for the Belgrade subway project has been selected, and the geotechnical study for the project of the first phase of the first line of the Belgrade Subway is being prepared.
– We are preparing the documentation for the purpose of carrying out a contest for the design of the subway stations of the first phase of the first line of the Belgrade Subway and we will give an opportunity to local architects, and each station will be designed differently, resembling the part of the city it is located in or reminding of an event from the Serbian history – Vesic explained.
The general regulation plan of the rail systems in Belgrade entails the construction of BG Subway stations in four ways. More details can be found HERE.
Let us remind that, in 2019, the French company Egis, according to the agreement with the City of Belgrade, completed the General project and the Preliminary Feasibility Study for Subway Lines 1 and 2 in Belgrade. More about the lines and the stations can be found in a separate article.
