. The Rudnik mountain should get a new tourist complex this year, as eKapija has already reported. The first phase of the construction of the visitor center is to start soon, and the works have been entrusted to the construction, engineering and design studio Ramark from Cacak, whose offer won at the tender. The contracted value of the works is RSD 7.91 million, and the completion deadline is 90 days.

Let us remind that, in September, an agreement worth RSD 10 million on the “Visitor Center Rudnik – Center of Development of Mining Area Tourism” project was signed with the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.

The Visitor Center Rudnik is designed as a multipurpose – informative, hospitality, commercial and business facility. It would be a center for the gathering and the connecting of individual initiatives and organization and sale of tours and packages of various activities (hiking, mountaineering, cycling, rent or purchase of equipment for these activities). Also, the area's infrastructure would improve and accommodation capacities suiting even the more demanding tourists would be established.

In addition to the accommodation capacities, the visitor center will also feature a multifunctional hall, which can be leased for various types of events (congress tourism, organization of seminars, training, conferences...). Also, the facility is to feature a gift shop, where authentic products of the mining area will be displayed and sold, as well as a bar or a restaurant.

Let us remind that the 2020 budget envisages the construction of an indoor pool in Gornji Milanovac, and the plan also includes the construction of an outdoor pool on Rudnik. More about what it will look like can be found in a special article.

– Negotiations with the Ski Resorts of Serbia on the construction of a smaller ski track on Rudnik, to be used for training, which also requires a snowing machinery, have been announced as well. Also, the local self-government plans to start solving the problem of sewer and water treatment on Rudnik in 2020, which is a prerequisite for the development of tourism on this mountain – the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac told eKapija earlier.
