Number of Flights from Nis Airport to Return to Pre-pandemic Level in April 2021?

The director of Aerodromi Srbije, Mihajlo Zdravkovic, said that flights would be reintroduced gradually, and that the realistic expectations were that they would go back to the pre-pandemic level only in April 2021.

Zdravkovic says that, after air traffic is reinstated, the operations of the Nis Airport will go back to normal.

– We are communicating with all airline companies which fly from our airport and there have been no announcements of cancellations. The flights will be reintroduced gradually depending on the epidemiology estimates in the destination countries and on the availability of their fleets and crews – Zdravkovic said.

The realistic expectation is that this will only happen in April 2021. Thanks to the subsidies of the Government of Serbia, Zdravkovic claims, this difficult period will be overcome without any major issues.
