The Commission for Control of State Aid has approved the issuing of a grant of EUR 14.4 million for Henkel for an investment of EUR 93.5 million for the construction of a new production line and the expansion of the capacity of the house cleaning products factory in Krusevac.

As said in the decision adopted on April 24, this direct foreign investment will lead to the employment of at least 100 workers, and the production should begin in the second half of 2020, whereas the full capacity of the production should be reached in 2021.

The future investment is to be made in the area of 16,000 square meters in the location of the existing factory in Krusevac.

Of the total amount, EUR 82.1 million is meant for the equipment, whereas EUR 11.4 million is for the construction of facilities.

According to the proposition of the Ministry of Economy, which the Commission has determined is in line with the rules of the allocation of state aid, Henkel will get help in two parts, namely, 72.18% in 2020 and the rest in 2021.

Henkel Group has 180 facilities with 53,000 employees in the world and a consolidated income of EUR 19.8 billion.
