Zrenjanin could soon get another factory of chemical products. The City of Zrenjanin has announced a public presentation of the urban project of urban planning and architectural development of the location for the construction of a factory for the production of tributyl phosphate, whose investor is the Chinese company Green Miles Chemicals Novi Sad.

The factory will be located on an area of 2 hectares in the Southeast industrial zone.

It will consists of three production lines, each with a capacity of 2,000 tons a year, with all the necessary structures and installations.

The projected capacity of the factory is 6,000 tons a year.

As said in the documentation, the main project for the TBP factory was prepared by the Chinese institute Tianjin Green-Chem-Engineering Chemical Technology Company Limited, which also designed the production technology.

This technology was already used in a TBP factory in China.

The factory's main products will be tributyl phosphate and tri-isobutyl phsophate, and the side products are dimethylamine and chlorobutane.

Tributyl phosphate is mostly used as a component of hydraulic liquids and brake liquids in the aviation industry.

Along with the production facilities, storage and side facilities, the factory should also feature an administrative section, with office spaces and a parking lot.

Internal traffic routes, atmospheric water sewer, a fire reservoir, a substation and gas and electro-communication infrastructure will be built as well.

The urban project, prepared by the Nuova architectural studio from Zrenjanin, envisages around 40% of green areas on the parcel.

The Chinese investor bought the parcel from the city in mid-2019.
