The Covid-19 system has been developed by Uros Markovic and Isidora Kisin from the Uzice-based design studio Druga Dimenzija.

The arrangement of the sprinklers spraying the disinfectant creates an upper and lateral smokescreen, through which the user passes. A PIR sensor detect the movement and activates the pump, which helps save the fluid. At the heart of the system is the pump which activates the rotor.

The system contains three 0.01-mm sprinklers which spray 0.09 liters of the disinfectant per minute. When the user passes through the smokescreen, the clothes are decontaminated, suppressing the spreading of infection by direct personal contact.

The project is applicable in all public and commercial institutions through a simple installation next to the entrance, regardless of the door mechanism. It is compact (40x60x250cm), and its production doesn't require a large number of elements.
