Societe Generale bank – new owner of Podgorička banka
The contract on sale of 64.44% of shares of Podgorička banka to French bank Societe Generale from Paris has been signed in Podgorica. The contract has been signed by Minister of Finance, Igor Lukšić, in the name of the Government of Montenegro, Radoje Žugić in the name of Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, and director of Societe Generale for Europe, Žan Didje Reinje, in the name of Societe Generale bank.
The offer of Societe Generale contains purchasing price amounting to €14.2m and obligatory amount of investments of €40m. In the following period, this French bank will realize the development strategy of Podgorička banka, with the focus to "know-how" transfer, technology and other forms of expert opinions.
