The Gold Gondola, the tourism project of the decade on Zlatibor, which cost the local budget EUR 13 million, is successfully drawing to a close.

Cabins are being installed at the inter-station near the Ribnica Lake. They will otherwise be stored in two garages. The works on the inter-station are in the final stage and the gondola is expected to be tested soon.

The Gold Gondola has the title of the longest panoramic gondola in the world, with a route of nearly 9,000 meters. A total of 55 cabins for 10 passengers each will stretch along 36 console carriers.

The total capacity of the gondola is 600 passengers an hour. A ride takes 25 minutes and provides a view to Zlatibor's picturesque vistas, RINA writes, as reported by B92.

With the starting point in the center of Zlatibor and then through the Ribnica Lake all the way to the Tornik peak, the gondola will provide skiers, vacationers, adventurists and everyone else who's interested with an unforgettable view to Zlatibor.
