The Government of Serbia will present new measures of help to the private sector if the coronavirus crisis in Serbia takes more than three months, stated Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali.

He specified that the measures from the program of support to the economy apply since the day of the declaration of the state of emergency, March 15, and pertain to a three-month period, as well as that companies can use certain measures, such as the postponement of tax and contribution payment, for March as well.

He also announced the possibility of support by sectors, to certain industries which could be struck even harder by the crisis if it lasts.

He said on TV Prva that the state had prepared a set of economic measures worth EUR 5.1 billion, which is half the annual budget, considering that the crisis will take three months, and specified that 60-65% of the funds would be provided from the budget and the domestic securities market, whereas Serbia would secure the rest in the international financial market.
