Current Laws Apply until the Decree on Postponement of Tax and Contribution Payment is Adopted

Regarding the new measures of the Government of Serbia which pertain to a postponement of wage tax and contribution payment, the Serbian Association of Employers addressed the Ministry of Finance for an explanation, to which the ministry responded:

– The issue of the postponement of wage tax and contribution payment will be regulated by a special Decree. Until this decree is adopted, the rules envisaged in the Law on Personal Income Tax and the Law on Contributions for Mandatory Social Insurance apply.

Let us remind that the minister of finance of Serbia, Sinisa Mali, has presented a set of economic measures by the state, aiming to abate the negative effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the economy, including a postponement of payment of taxes and contributions.
