MTU a Step Away from Construction of Factory in Nova Pazova – Preliminary Design of Aircraft Engine Repair Complex on 257,000 m2 Announced

The Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection has opened the public invitation for presentation of the Urban Project with an urban-architectural development of the location for the construction of the aircraft repair complex MTU Maintenance Serbia in Nova Pazova.

The investor in the project is MTU Maintenance Serbia doo Novi Beograd, the urban project was prepared by Page Consortium doo Beograd, and the preliminary design is the work of Energogroup doo, also from Belgrade.

The project envisages development and construction of a complex which should feature facilities for repair of aircraft engines with side facilities, infrastructure and protective decorative greenery. The total area covered by the Urban Project is 256,872 m2.

According to the documentation, the location for the construction is in the building area of the central industrial zone of the municipality of Stara Pazova. On the northeast side, the complex has an exit to the planned public traffic route Nova 4 Street, whereas, on the southeast side, it connects to the existing local road.

The construction of 21 facilities with internal traffic routes is planned.

The main aircraft repair facility is planned on an area of around 41,000 m2, with a pre-fabricated concrete structure, facade panels and a stacked roof, and it will feature a technical block, an administrative section, a cafeteria and a kitchen.

Side facilities include two guardhouses, five canopied spaces for smokers, bicycle parking areas, a bus stop, a gas measuring and regulation station, a switchgear, tanks for CO2 and O2, a hydrant network...

The plan also includes access roads, at least 330 parking spaces, connections to the water, sewer, gas, TT and power systems, a connection for sanitary water and a fire reservoir.

The urban project is up for public review until April 2, 2020, and in line with the current state of emergency due to coronavirus, it can only be seen electronically, at this LINK.

Let us remind that MTU announced in mid-2019 that it expected the production in Serbia to start in early 2022.
