With this, they have already equipped the majority of public institutions in the Jablanica District and the Pcinja District, making a substantial contribution to the safety and the protection of health of the Serbian Armed Forces, said Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin, who visited the company's facilities in Vranje today.
The director general of Yumco, Branislav Trajkovic, emphasized that, since the declaration of the state of emergency, Yumco had implemented a crisis group, which is active for 24 hours a day in protecting the employees.
– Last week, we started producing facemasks at top capacity. Yumco first donated several thousand masks and hundreds of protective suits to hospitals in Vranje, Bujanovac, Vladicin Han, Bosilegrad and various welfare institutions – Trajkovic said and explained that the company makes masks from top quality cotton.
The work is organized in several shifts, and each of the 1,200 mask production workers has the necessary protective items on their person, the Government of Serbia says in a press release.
