DJORDJEVIC: List of all employers that fire workers illegally to be published
– I invite employers not to lay off workers and to be patient, as this will not last forever. There should be solidarity, but these things do happen, unfortunately, as there are professions for which there is no work currently. Beginning today, the National Employment Service is receiving reports about such cases electronically, whereby those who have lost their job can exercise their right to an adequate compensation – Djordjevic said on TV Pink.
According to him, once the online reporting starts today, more detailed information will be available, although reports have already been made.
– The Labor Inspectorate will look into these cases and take adequate measures if necessary. There are legal ways of regulating paid leaves, shift work, work from home, but employees cannot be sent on unpaid leaves unless they agree – he emphasized.
As Djordjevic said, the termination of labor contracts needs to be done by mutual consent, regardless of the type of employment contract.
– We can't take individual action. All cases will be registered, and once this passes, in a month or two, we will take all the measures towards these employers and publish a list and register all those who broke the law – the minister said.
