Prices limited for 36 product categories
As said in the decision, which was adopted yesterday, March 15, 2020, and published in the Official Gazette, in order to prevent disturbances in the market and remove the harmful effects of disturbances in the market regarding the supply of goods due to the spreading of coronavirus, retail and wholesale prices of vital supplies and protection equipment are limited so as not to exceed the level they had on March 5, 2020.
The limit is implemented for a period of 30 days, and the list features wheat flour, bread, edible sunflower oil, white sugar, salt, water, fruit and vegetables, pasta, fresh meat and meat products and fish.
Furthermore, the list features thermally processed cow milk (pasteurized and sterilized), powdered milk, yogurt, chicken eggs, food for children, soap, shampoos, toothpaste, detergents and gloves (and clothes and clothes items) made of plastic.
The list also features diapers for children and adults, tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, plastic masks with a textile filter, covers, surgical textile masks, surgical paper suits, paper masks, rubber protection clothes, rubber gloves, surgical and other gloves.
Also, the measures pertain to textile surgical clothes, bleach and other disinfectants, asepsol, alcohol and protection eyeglasses.
