EIB granted 20m EUR worth of loan to "Raiffeisen Leasing" for financing small and mid-sized enterprises in Serbia

Company "Raiffeisen Leasing" in Serbia announced today (December 23, 2009) that it had obtained the credit line of 20m EUR from European Investment Bank (EIB).

According to the announcement, that line is intended for financing small and mid-sized enterprises in Serbia, in order to enable their further growth and expansion of business.

The deadline for repayment of the loan will range between four and seven years, including the grace period, while the interest rate, as the people from "Raiffeisen Leasing" point out, will be at least 0.5% lower than the interest rate that the company currently offers to the clients.

- The loan contract with EIB will contribute to growth of the volume of operations of "Raiffeisen Leasing" and enable acceleration of growth of domestic production and strengthening of competitiveness of small and mid-sized enterprises - Ralph Zeitlberger, the CEO of that leasing company, estimated.

"Raiffeisen Leasing" in Serbia was founded in 2003 by Raiffeisen Bank Serbia and "Raiffeisen Leasing International", with the headquarters in Vienna. The main office is in Belgrade, and it also has branch offices in Novi Sad, Čačak, Niš, Subotica, Kragujevac, Šabac and Kruševac.
