IMF Mission from February 24 to 28 in Belgrade

The Mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will talk with representatives of the Government of Serbia and the National Bank of Serbia about the macroeconomic trends and reforms in Belgrade from February 24 to 28, it has been confirmed for Beta by the government.

The topic of the meetings will be the progress made in the reforms agreed within the cooperation program supported by the Policy Coordination Instrument (PCI), which the IMF approved on July 2018 for a period of 30 months.

Within the planned measures, especially important are the reform of the tax administration and reforms in the public sector, fiscal rules and public investment and state company management.


The IMF program aims to maintain the macroeconomic and financial stability and continue the structural and the institutional reforms stimulating a quicker and all-encompassing growth, the creation of new jobs and improving the living standard.
