The Novi Sad-based company Galens Invest has requested a change of the Regulation Plan for Jahorina from the Municipality of Pale, so that it could begin the construction of a luxury hotel on that mountain, the Capital portal learns.

The request should soon be put before the members of the Assembly of the Municipality of Pale.

At the auction held in early July 2019, the Novi Sad-based company, together with the Foca-based Pavgord, bought the ruined Hotel Jahorina for around EUR 1.7 million.

The deadline for the beginning of the construction of a new luxury hotel in the same location expires in July 2020, whereas the completion deadline is three years from the date of the purchase, that is, until July 2022.

It is assumed that around EUR 15 million will be invested in the new Hotel Jahorina, because one of the purchase requirements was for the purchaser to submit proof of sufficient funds for the construction.

The plan is to build a luxury facility, which will have a hotel section and an apartment section for sale, with over 40,000 m2 of space.

– The planned high-category hotel will have a certain number of lux rooms, a children's playroom, restaurants, a cafe bar and a central hall, that is, a space which provides guests with a kind of a sanctuary from the volatile weather. The commodity of the accommodation units is above every standard and the modern trends of minimization and cutting costs at the guests' expense. The most demanding guests will feel at home. A wellness and fitness center will be available, offering a spa zone with pools, a gym and numerous side features – Galens Invest told the media earlier.

Galens Invest is currently building residential-office complexes in Belgrade and Novi Sad, as well as the tourist complex Zlatiborski Biser (The Pearl of Zlatibor). Together with Pavgord, the company has also bought shares of the former Pavlovic Banka and renamed it as Nasa Banka.

All those investments are necessary so that they would offer the Government of Republika Srpska a buyout of BAM 43 million in claims of institutions and companies in Republika Srpska from Fabrika Glinice (FG) Birac.
