LJAJIC: 100,000 tourist vouchers handed out, campaign might continue

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic has stated that 100,000 vouchers were handed out in under 40 days and that, due to the great interest from the citizens of Serbia, this Thursday, the government will consider the proposal of having additional funds set aside so that the campaign might continue.

– We are asking the citizens for patience, as we expect that they might start applying for vouchers again by the end of next week – Ljajic told Tanjug.

He said that nearly three times as many vouchers had been handed out in 2020 as in the same period in 2019, that 55% of the applicants were pensioners and that the most popular destinations were spas in Serbia, as well as Kopaonik, Zlatibor and Divcibare.
