Letter of intent on relaunching of rail services between Belgrade and Pristina signed
On behalf of Belgrade, the letter was signed by the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric.
The document was signed as part of the Munich Security Conference, Tanjug reports.
The letter of intent on the relaunching of air traffic between Belgrade and Pristina was signed on January 20 in Berlin with Lufthansa.
– Once this is realized, the railway between Pristina, Podujevo and Merdare, and further to Nis, will be renewed. Goods from central Serbia, as well as passengers, will then get to Kosovo much more quickly – Djuric told TV Prva in Munich, Beta reports.
He said that a letter of intent was not a legal act, but “an expression of the political will to have this line established” and added that it was “a very important day” for a better traffic connection between Belgrade and Pristina.
– We took care for our interest to be protected as much as possible and for everything to be in line with the constitution and the laws of Serbia – Djuric said.
