Commission for Protection of Competition approves privatization of JAT Tehnika
This creates the conditions for the finalization of the procedure of the privatization of JAT Tehnika, with Avia Prime's offer being the best, at EUR 10.29 million.
The company operates within the Hartenberg Group, controlled by Hartenberg Holding, and focuses on investments in property.
The Commission has determined that Avia has no directly or indirectly related companies in Serbia, but that it has realized an income of EUR 3.5 million in the market through the sale of fertilizers, chemical products, seed material, baked goods and machines through related companies in sister groups Synbiol and Agrofert.
In the markets of Poland and Slovenia, through Linetech and Adria Tehnika, Avia is active in the sector pertaining to the concentration arising from the purchase of JAT Tehnika.
JAT Tehnika has an 85-year tradition of maintaining aircraft. It carries out is core activity primarily at its base at the Nikola Tesla Airport, whereas the line maintenance is carried out at line stations in Tivat, Podgorica and Skopje.
The Commission has determined that Avia Prime does not operate in the aircraft maintenance market in Serbia, whereas JAT Tehnika is practically the only participant in the relevant market, as it is the only company that maintains large commercial aircraft made by Boeing, Airbus and ATR at its base at the Belgrade Airport.
