Belgrade plans to sell Belgrade Pharmacy

After the sale of Sava Center and Beogradjanka building the City of Belgrade is planning on selling the Belgrade Pharmacy, the Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesic, announced yesterday.

– We intend to sell pharmaceutical institutions, because the capital like other modern cities should be concerned with services it provides to its citizens, which is what the utility system is for and there's no need for the city to concern itself with business other than utility services.

With network of 124 pharmacies across 17 Belgrade municipalities, Belgrade Pharmacy is a unique health institution of its kind both in the Balkans and South East Europe in general.


The Belgrade Pharmacy site states that they employ 1,035 workers, 480 graduated pharmacists, 331 pharmacy technicians and 224 of employees of other profiles necessary for necessary for the smooth functioning of business processes in a system. The Pharmacy has 69 specialists from various fields, two Masters of Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Doctor of Pharmacy.
