Construction of Sijarina spa center, modeled after Roman thermae, to start – Tender for contractor opens
The facility has an area of 5,500 m2 and certain spaces would be rearranged in line with this design to become a part of the wellness zone.
The wellness zone will include: a reception hall, an info desk, the existing indoor therapeutic pool with a space for mats, a new recreational pool with thermal mineral water, a Finnish sauna, a biosauna, showers, locker rooms, a wardrobe, a hair-drying space, massage rooms, a lounge, toilets and access communications. The wellness zone also covers the apartment and rooms for wellness users, as well as a wellness restaurant.
The spa zone consists of: a recreational pool, a Finnish sauna, a biosauna, showers, a space for mats with a view to the pool and windows in the upper zone for natural light.
The dimensions of the recreational pool are 2.5 m x 8 m, the depth is 120 cm, and the pool area is surrounded by walls with glass surfaces and Roman-style interior elements, adapted to the concept of modern wellness.
As said in the documentation, two saunas, the Finnish sauna and the biosauna, are designed for two different temperatures and aroma therapies. They are meant to feature wood paneling and a glass partition toward the hall and are oriented toward the window to the existing pool. The fireplaces are adapted for constant public use. The showers next to the sauna are classic showers (hot and cold) by the pool, and there’s also a cooling bucket. The interior will feature mosaics and stone and an adequate lighting.
The bid submission deadline is January 15, 2020.
