MALI: We are satisfied with NLB Banka's offer for Komercijalna
In his interview for Blic, he said that the state “is certainly closer to selling the bank now than to deciding to remain the owner of Komercijalna Banka” and added that he was convinced that the process would be completed.
Mali says that, if the negotiations with NLB fail, there's a possibility of negotiations with the second best bidder. He points out that the process is now at a phase where it is very difficult not to execute the process, as that would cause the state to “lose credibility”.
– I hope that the new owner will approach the process of the further growth of Komercijalna Banka in the right way. The bank has been doing a good job, but I believe that it can and will be much more successful once the owner is a private entity – Mali said.
In addition to NLB, bids for the purchase of Komercijalna Banka were made by Raiffeisen Banka and AIK Banka.
